In order to process each vertical slice individually, we must first extract the data about each slice from the initial images. This data is stored in "sinograms." A single sinogram contain the information from all angles about a particular slice, with the information from each angle in its own row. In the picture above, the first row contains the data from 0 degrees, and the last row contains the data from 180 degrees.
