Assistant Professor

pursuit of this commitment, we are seeking a faculty member with an
earned doctorate in physics, preferably
with postdoctoral research experience in theoretical nuclear physics
and/or astrophysics. The successful
candidate will be expected to develop a research program strengthening
existing programs in the department
in nuclear reaction theories and/or nuclear astrophysics, establish an
externally funded research program
involving students, and demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence
and service.
Arkansas State University is located in Jonesboro, 65 miles northwest
of Memphis, TN and
130 miles northeast of Little Rock, AR. Jonesboro, with a population of
approximately 55,000, provides an
excellent quality of life, good public schools, and a reasonable cost
of living. ASU enrolls over 9,000
undergraduate and about 1,500 graduate students.
