My main areas of interest have been in quantum many-particle theory as
applied to physical systems. These include nuclei, atomic clusters, and
electrons in condensed matter. My work on nuclear physics has been
recognized by the Bonner Prize of the American Physical Society for
"many varied contributions to nuclear structure and reaction theory,
which have guided and illuminated experiments for four decades."
