Q: What are your physics/science interests?
I am interested in high energy theory, with an emphasis on the mathematical structures underlying contemporary topics of research.
Q: What are your other interests?
I play guitar, violin, and piano; I also enjoy rock climbing, running, and cycling.
Q: What would you like to do after college?
I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in theoretical high energy physics; eventually I would like to work in academia as a professor and researcher.
Q: Tell us one strange but interesting fact about yourself.
I was born in (the) Hershey, PA! My favorite animals as a young child were the brown cows that spotted the local pastures. Brown is still my favorite color.
Q: What first sparked your interest in Physics?
My parents were both physicians, and my father was a biomedical researcher. My interest has always been with "Science" (vague and mysterious!); as I became older, this interest narrowed to Physics. Of the disciplines I might study, it appeared the most fundamental, elusive, and elegant.
Q: If you could have any pet what would it be?
An elephant would be an excellent companion animal.
Q: If you had a free month and unlimited funds, how would you spend
your time?
I would travel through Europe, particularly Eastern and Northern Europe.
Q: If you could get a grant to study anything what would it be?
- not sure! If I can decide, I will let you know.
