Q: What are your physics/science interests?
I am currently interested in atomic physics and optics, though I would also like to learn more about condensed matter.

Q: What are your other interests?
In my free time I enjoy reading, hiking, and doing yoga.

Q: What would you like to do after college?
I plan to go to graduate school in physics and then pursue a career in physics research. I would also like to take time to travel, possibly taking a year off before graduate school if possible.

Q: Tell us one strange but interesting fact about yourself.
I used to be a competitive figure skater.

Q: What first sparked your interest in Physics?
I had a great AP Physics teacher in high school who encouraged me to take some physics in college. Once I had taken Intro Physics, I found that the professors were extremely engaging and that I particularly enjoyed the laboratory components of class, which really sparked my interest in physics research.

Q: If you could have any pet what would it be?
I would love to have a really large dog if someone else were willing to help in taking caring of it. However, if the pet were mine alone I would probably choose to have a hedgehog.

Q: If you had a free month and unlimited funds, how would you spend your time?
I would first pay off debts that my close family and friends have, as well as invest money for myself. Then, I would donate quite a lot of money to charity. I would then use the remaining time to travel with my family and close friends, wherever they wanted to go.

Q: If you could get a grant to study anything what would it be?
I am not sure yet, though I am trying to figure that out. I think it would probably be something in materials science, such as developing alternative energy sources.
