Q: What are your physics/science interests?
In terms of research and pursuing a career, I'm most interested in elementary particle physics and
high-energy physics. I absolutely love reading about astronomy and astrophysics-related things like black
holes and supernovae and quasars, though.
Q: What are your other interests?
I read obsessively. I've played piano since I was about 5, and playing helps me relax when I'm
stressed. I'm currently working my way through all of the flavors of Ben and Jerry's ice cream. I love any
kind of riddle or logic puzzle or word game.
Q: What would you like to do after college?
I'm planning to go to grad school to pursue physics in a PhD program, and pursue physics
research as a career.
Q: Tell us one strange but interesting fact about yourself.
I have a cousin who is the same age as me, born on the same day, whose name is also Audrey.
Q: What first sparked your interest in Physics?
I've been interested in physics-related questions since childhood -- I remember reading about quarks in fourth grade and having my
mind blown -- but I didn't consider physics as a career until
I took my first physics class junior year of high school. I've been set on it since then.
Q: If you could have any pet what would it be?
An elephant or a hippogriff, maybe.
Q: If you had a free month and unlimited funds, how would you spend
your time?
I would probably try to pay someone to take me to space. If that didn't work, travel the world.
Q: If you could get a grant to study anything what would it be?
Dark matter! Dark matter is fascinating.
