Q: What are your physics/science interests?
A: Though I love learning about all areas of science and math, my main focus is on improving the teaching of physics at all levels. Specifically, I am most enthusiastic about how inquiry-based teaching can strengthen students' abilities in doing physics. I am also interested in the roles that equity and community play in the physical sciences and how we can make physics a more equitable field.
Q: What are your other interests?
A: I am a huge foodie and love to cook and eat foods from all over the world. My other interests include swing dancing, amateur astronomy, making music, hiking and doing crossword puzzles.
Q: What would you like to do after college?
A: In the future, I would like to go to grad school in physics education and I hope to have a career in physics education research. My long-term goals include helping make physics and science more accessible to non-scientists.
Q: Tell us one strange but interesting fact about yourself.
A: The last time I visited Seattle was when I was about ten. I had read about the Seattle Art Museum in a tour book and begged my parents to take me. When we didn't get to go, I ended up throwing a huge tantrum. Needless to say, visiting the museum was one of the first things I did when I came back!
