Q: What are your physics/science interests?
A: I am interested in understanding the fundamental forces of nature, and
more specifically, the experimental work that goes into verifying the
theories we have. I like the science that comes out of collider experiments
though neutrino physics experiments have been growing on me too.
Q: What are your other interests?
A: I like to follow online discussions involving skeptical topics that
include anti-vaccination, homeopathy, and creationism. I hope to eventually
have a more active part in promoting skeptical and rational thinking, which
I think is our best way at improving our lives.
Q: What would you like to do after college?
A: I intend to continue my physics studies in graduate school, and
hopefully go on a long road trip on my way to whichever university I end up
going to.
Q: Tell us one strange but interesting fact about yourself.
A: I lived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for about six years before moving to
Florida. Being raised Catholic in such a place was interesting to say the
least. Services had to be done at different places every week to avoid the
police. Living in such a repressive society probably was why I began to
question faith and religion as a way to approach the world. Now, I proudly
eat babies for breakfast.
