Jana Steiner
I am at the Univerity of Washington
in an REU( Rearch Experience for Undergraduates) progREU
I work in the basement of the new Physics and Astronomy building where I spend most of my time listening to jazz, writing computer programs, and designing and building custom equipment for different telescopes.
This summer I am working with the Observational Cosmology group headed by Christopher Stubbs. Most of the research involves the MACHO project and its use of gravitational micro-lensing to find dark matter.
During the regular school year I am a student at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington where I am currently pursuing a double major in Physics and Electrical Engineering.
My intrests outside of school include hiking, reading, and playing a mean game of pool.
