Q: What are your physics/science interests?
My main interest is in how physics can be applied to medicine. I want to learn more about radiology, imaging techniques and x-rays.
Q: What are your other interests?
My favorite place to be is at my family lake cabin -- I love swimming, fishing, water sports and lawn games.
Q: What would you like to do after college?
I want to earn a Ph.D. in medical physics then go on to be a clinical medical physicist and eventually conduct medical physics research.
Q: Tell us one strange but interesting fact about yourself.
I have biked across the US-Canada border.
Q: What first sparked your interest in Physics?
One summer I had the opportunity to go a mile underground into an abandoned gold mine where scientists are now searching for dark matter and I've been hooked ever since.
Q: If you could have any pet what would it be?
Beluga whale, hands down.
Q: If you had a free month and unlimited funds, how would you spend
your time?
I want to see Alaska and go on an African safari before I die. The rest of the time I would spend taking my future husky on runs and eating life-changing food.
Q: If you could get a grant to study anything what would it be?
Communication between humans and dogs. I really really want to know what the puppies of the world are thinking.
