Q: What are your physics/science interests?
A: Theoretical cosmology and particle physics have been my two strongest interests in physics so far. Next year, I will do a project on unstable Q-balls (self-interacting clumps of bosons). Because this research has applications in cosmology, I have read some of the relevant literature and have become fascinated by it. I expect that my interest in this aspect of physics will grow as I learn more about it.
Q: What are your other interests?
A: I like to read, play ultimate frisbee, watch, write, and make films, learn about math, play the guitar, write poetry and short stories, and listen to Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, Radiohead, and most recently the Microphones.
Q: What would you like to do after college?
A: I want to go to grad school.
Q: Tell us one strange yet interesting fact about yourself?
A: I have a difficult time appreciating flowers sometimes.
